To enable server / strict time feature follow these steps:
Go to Settings
Choose Tracking Settings
Click on Advanced Settings button
Check the use strict time box and save settings.
When strict time feature is active it is mandatory for the user to have stable and active internet connection, and also for local computer time to match server time in order to track and log user data.
Strict time is Workpuls security feature which enables time check with the server in order to prevent user to try and tamper their attendance stats by, for example, changing computer time at the start or mid their shift.
With this feature enabled Workpuls will have local device and server time in sync, checking and comparing them in order to detect and prevent time tampering.
Workpuls employee widget behavior:
When and if time change is detected with Strict time option activated, employee will see a pop up window informing them that computer time change has been detected and will automatically pause their task timer or clock out their shift, based on tracking scenario in use.
