In this guide, we'll go over all of Workpuls settings so that you can configure Workpuls for your workplace.
Note: Workpuls supports multiple settings profiles within an account.
You'll find your shared settings profiles under:
- Settings -> Tracking settings
Here you can add a new setting profile, or edit one by clicking on the '3 dots' menu at the far right and selecting 'edit'.
Whether you want Workpuls to be visible or not to your employees. When Workpuls is visible (recommended) your employees can also access their own data if you choose which is a powerful productivity tool for them to be able to analyze their own data. You can learn more about visibility in Workpuls here.
Note: If your business is using Projects & Tasks, then Workpuls must be visible for them to be able to interact with the platform.
Here you can control:
- If you want Workpuls to take screenshots
- How often you want those screenshots to be taken
- If your staff have the ability to view / delete their own screenshots
Workpuls supports multiple time tracking options as well as allows for setting customizable break settings and controlling when Workpuls detects that an employee is 'idle'.
- Break Time
Define how much break time employees are allowed to take if any.
- Idle Time
Define how much time is allowed before an employee will be considered 'idle'. Learn More.
- Tracking Scenario
Set the specific tracking scenario that you want between:
- Manual Clock in
There are a lot of options here and we recommend learning more on each with our full guides on the different Time and Attendance scenarios here.
- Employees can analyze their own productivity [Recommended]
Allow employees to access their own productivity stats
- Employee can see used apps and websites
Allow employees to see which apps and websites they've used. This is more detailed analysis level than the ability to analyze their productivity.
If you are using our time-tracking plan
- Track time on tasks
Allow employees to track time against specific tasks by clicking start/stop on the timer to get detailed task-level timesheets.
- Allow employees to add new tasks
Allow employees to add tasks themselves for tracking. If this setting is not enabled then they can only see and track time on tasks that have been added for them by managers.
